Mr. Faw
Adam W. Faw is a graduate of
Appalachian State University’s
theatre education program. He is
currently working towards his M.Ed.
in theatre through UNC
Greensboro. Adam and his
students are very active in the
theatre scene throughout the state,
competing regularly and earning
high honors in the NC Theatre
Conference Play Festivals. During
the summer of 2007, he earned a
full scholarship to study at
Shakespeare’s Globe in London in the Teaching Shakespeare
through Performance program.
Adam is very active in arts advocacy in the NC as well. As a member
of the board of directors for the NC Theatre Conference, he works
closely with university and theatre professionals throughout the state
to improve arts education standards and support. Adam is also
active in NC Theatre Arts Educators, presenting often at their
conferences and co-hosting their fall sharing conference with fellow
educator Judy Osborne.
At Pinecrest, Adam has directed such productions as Crazy for You,
Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, and The Chronicles
of Jane: Book Seven. He also serves as technical director for the
Robert E. Lee Auditorium, overseeing staging, lighting, and sound
setup for such groups as the NC Symphony, Moore Choral Society,
Golf Capital Chorus, Miss Moore County Scholarship Competition,
Doc Watson, and many others.
